A Pillow of Winds

A Pillow of Winds
Pen and Ink, Watercolor, Digital

This was my final piece for thesis. I think it has a success on a different level than its predecessors. I'm very happy with how much I was able to simplify the composition, but I think a little extra detail and some more time with the colors would've really made it shine. I was just toooooo tired.
I have a series of four etchings I also did at the very end of the semester to compliment my work in the final show. I think they are definitely the most technically advanced etchings I've done so far and I was pretty happy. I'll post some pictures once I scan them.

Speaking of my final show and completion of my degree at MICA....

Me standing by my wall. I'll get better pictures soon! One of my older sisters and my dad, we were eating some yumyum seafood.

The Russell girls. I'm the baby. Adam really wants to join our clan.

Eamles and I. We're pretty cute I know.

MORE UPDATES SOON! Headed to Chicago and Philly!

That piece (a pillow of winds) is like delicious, multi-layered eye candy. I love the contrast in texture between the watercolor bg and the figures. This makes me want to try out that technique! You really handled it beautifully.
